The Innovation Explorer is the ecosystem's smart search engine. Search for technologies, organizations and knowledge areas — and discover connections, gaps and funding opportunities.
Smart Search Public
Two ways to search, accessible to any visitor:
AI Search — uses semantic embeddings to find results by meaning, even if the exact words don't appear
Keywords — traditional text search (fulltext), ideal when you know the exact term
Visitors without an account can perform up to 5 searches. To continue exploring, just create a free account.

The Innovation Architect is an AI assistant that designs technological architectures. From a technology or project, it suggests complementary components, maps risks and finds connections in the ecosystem.
Express Architect Plan
Quick analysis (~5 seconds) that generates:
Complementary technologies suggested for the architecture
Classification by priority and knowledge area
Overview of the proposed architecture
Complete Architect Plan
Deep analysis that refines Express results and adds:
Risk map with impact and probability
Complexity and sector coverage indicators
Status badges for each complementary (new, refined, confirmed)
Prerequisite: the Complete Architect checks whether the TRL, Criticality and Scope evaluations have been completed. If any are pending, a popup directs you to the corresponding form.
Evaluation Assistants Plan
AI can pre-fill the Criticality and Scope evaluations with suggestions based on the technology context. You review and adjust each field before saving.
Connection Search Plan
Each suggested complementary technology has a "Search connections" button that individually searches the 3 matching modules (Partnerships, Benchmarking and Funding Calls), displaying the best results.
Graph & History Plan
Interactive graph: D3 visualization with nodes colored by priority, risk edges and detailed tooltips
Run history: compare previous architecture versions to track evolution
Target Product Plan
Design an architecture from a Project, without needing to register technologies individually. Ideal when you have the final product vision and want to discover which technologies are needed.
Export Word Plan
Export the architecture in Word format — simplified version (Express) or complete with risk table and indicators.
The Technology Showcase is the central discovery hub. Browse registered technologies in the ecosystem, view maturity profiles and find researchers and organizations.

Reports by Technology Login
For each evaluated technology, view individual reports:
TRL: maturity level, current stage, criteria met
Criticality: relevance, vulnerability and accessibility score
Scope: strategic capabilities and sectors impacted
Integrated: combined view of all 3 axes with strategic recommendations
The Integrated report only appears after all 3 evaluations (TRL, Criticality and Scope) are completed.
Reports by Project Login
Aggregate results from all technologies in a project, with comparative charts (radar, bar, timeline) and interactive tables for sorting and filtering.
Report Export Plan
Download reports in Excel (with data dictionary) or Word for documentation and presentations.
Matching & Connections
Partnerships Login
Find researchers and organizations with similar technologies within the MC TEA platform. Similarity score indicates compatibility.
Benchmarking Login
Compare with funded projects and reference technologies:
FINEP — funded research projects
Vinnova — Swedish innovation projects
Defense — defense products catalog
MEC Patents — military and defense patents
Embrapa — agricultural technologies
Funding Calls Login
Discover compatible funding calls for your technology. The algorithm cross-references your technology profile with open calls and suggests the most relevant ones.
Visualizations Login
Matching results can be viewed in list or radar format (circular visualization). Both views show the same results.
The number of results displayed depends on your plan.
The Events Module turns one-off gatherings into an active innovation network. Use the platform to discover and register for open events — or to organize your own event with AI-assisted curation, algorithmic registrant × demand matching and automated communication.
Discover Open Events Public
The tab Events brings together all the platform's public events, organized by status:
Registrations open: events accepting submissions now
Upcoming events: confirmed, awaiting the opening of registrations
Closed: recent history for reference
Each card shows a banner, tagline, location and date — click to open the event's dedicated landing page.
Dedicated Landing Page per Event Public
Each event has a public page (/eventos/<slug>) customized by the organizer with:
Banner, logo, editorial palette and tagline
Full rules in a modal and supporting documents
Event thematic axes and registration cards
Key dates, location and registration CTAs
Multi-flow Registration Login
Two parallel flows, tailored to each participant's role:
Researcher: 2-step wizard with pitch, short video and deck (PDF). Allows editing until the deadline, without canceling the registration.
Company / funding: demand registration with problem, sector and target TRL — becomes matching input.
How to Participate: Step by Step Login
Researcher (register technology)
On the event page, click "Register technology" (or on the competency card of the desired axis).
Step 1: Click the appropriate researcher card and create a new technology (name, function, organization, themes).
Step 2: fill in the event-specific data — pitch (text), short video (public URL) and deck in PDF (upload), plus the thematic axis.
When you submit, you land directly on the confirmation screen with the top matches suggested by the AI.
Company / funding (register demand)
On the event page, click "Register demand" on the card of your area of interest.
Fill in the single form: technical problem, context, sector, target TRL and event axis.
The demand starts to appear in My Demands and can be reused in other events in the future.
The confirmation screen shows the most relevant competencies — researchers who could potentially solve the pain point.
Before registering, you need an MC TEA account with a complete profile (nick + organization). Those who signed in via social login are automatically directed to complete their registration.
Immediate AI Matching Login
The moment the registration is submitted, the embeddings algorithm already suggests the top matches by semantic similarity:
Registrant × registrant (peers with technical affinity)
Demand × competency (company sees who solves the pain point)
Active pre-networking: participants arrive at the in-person event already knowing who to talk to — even before curation.
Track Your Registration Login
Right after submitting, and at any time afterwards, you have access to:
Confirmation screen: shows your registration data, the current status (pending, approved, waitlist or dismissed) and the matches suggested by the AI.
Automatic email: immediate confirmation and a new message when curation decides the status.
Researcher: the registered technology remains in My Technologies — TRL/CRIT/AE reports and the Architect keep working normally.
Company: access My Demands in the menu to see all registered demands, with an indication of which are linked to events.
Edit Pitch, Technology or Demand Login
You can adjust the data after registering — without canceling the registration:
Edit pitch (researcher): within the technology edit or on the confirmation screen, the "Edit pitch" button lets you redo the text, video, deck and chosen axis.
Edit demand (company): in My Demands, click the demand to change the problem, sector, target TRL and description.
Base technology data: remain editable in My Technologies (name, function, themes, image). Changes appear in the registration automatically. It is also possible to edit the pitch.
Editing window: each event sets an editing deadline. After it, the edit and cancel actions are blocked — to avoid changes after curation starts evaluating.
Cancel Registration or Delete Demand Login
Two distinct actions, depending on what you want to remove:
Cancel registration (in the event): on the confirmation screen, the "Cancel registration" button. It only removes the link to that event — the technology or demand remains in MC TEA and can be registered in another event.
Delete demand (completely): in My Demands, the "Delete" option erases the demand from the system. Use it when it is no longer relevant.
Delete technology (completely): done in My Technologies, outside the context of events. Caution: linked TRL/CRIT/AE evaluations and Architect runs are also removed.
When canceling a registration, any extra Architect credits granted for being a finalist in that event are automatically revoked.
Assisted Curation Login
Organizers and curators access a dedicated panel with:
Algorithmic score combined with the curator's manual rating
Filters by status, thematic axis and registration type
Approve / reject / waitlist actions with on-demand recompute
Minimum and maximum quotas per axis to ensure diversity
Multiple curators on the committee, without needing admin access
Automated Communication Login
Automatic emails per funnel stage, with templates customizable per event:
Finalists automatically receive extra Innovation Architect credits
Corporate demands become qualified leads for future calls
Full CSV export of registrants and metrics by status / axis
